Honk is an AI-powered personal finance coach for iOS. It listens to what you say about your spending, logs each expense automatically, and gives you an honest weekly score out of 100. The voice it speaks in is a sarcastic Canadian goose — not a chatbot, not a wellness avatar, not a cheerful corporate mascot. Honk is in private beta. Public beta opens Summer 2026.
What Honk does, in four verbs: it listens(you say “lunch twelve bucks”, it writes it down), it notices (three coffees this week, two last week), it scores (honestly, weekly, on a 0–100 Honk Score), and it notifies (one or two pushes a day, only when something actually matters). The graphs stay behind a tab. The verdict comes first.
How Honk is different from a budgeting app. Honk is not Mint, YNAB, Copilot, or Monarch. It does not connect to your bank. It does not produce pie charts. It does not categorize transactions into thirty-seven buckets. It reads only what you tell it — by voice or by typing — and gives you a single weekly verdict in plain English. The unit of value is honest feedback, not financial dashboards.
What Honk costs.Two plans, locked in for waitlist members when beta opens. Yearly is $99 with a 14-day free trial. Lifetime is $199, paid once. If you invite three friends to the waitlist using your referral link, you get 30 days free on whichever plan you pick. Prices and dates may change before launch; we’ll be honest about it if they do.
What Honk does with your data. Honk sees only what you tell it: receipts you read aloud, what you type into the log, patterns it notices across your weeks, and the streak counter you keep. Honk does not see your account number, your routing number, your password, your social security number, or any other government ID. Bank-connect integrations and third-party security audits are in development and will be detailed publicly on the What I see page before beta opens.
